Zack's shoes.
He was wearing these the day he was struck down.
Having been unable to part with them, I have held on to them, hoping one day I would find an important purpose for them. Families for Safe Streets NYC, are collecting shoes for the annual World Day of Remembrance. I have adorned his shoes, returning them back to NYC for this event. If you know anyone who has been stuck down by vehicle violence, please join New York City, and the World, in lighting a candle 11.15.20, for your Loved One.
Remember Always.

Between 2008 and 2017, drivers struck and killed 49,340 people who were walking on streets all across the United States. That’s more than 13 people per day, or one person every hour and 46 minutes. It’s the equivalent of a jumbo jet full of people crashing—with no survivors—every single month.
Dangerous by Design 2019 takes a closer look at this alarming epidemic.

We have stories, those that have lost Loved Ones to bicycle and pedestrian traffic crashes.
My Father, nearly 20 years ago, and my Son, 6.11.14.
They are remembered always.
If the roads could speak, they would never be silenced.
This day we Honor them.

Orlando Critical Mass Memorial Ride, June 24, 2016
Every last Friday in June, Orlando Critical Mass holds a memorial ride, for those we have lost in crashes.
This year, the ride became even more deep, with our tragic loss of those 49 individuals in the Pulse Nightclub tragedy.
Those individuals were remembered, honored as well as our lost riders.
For those that question the power of the Mass, the power and Love of our community, just look at this photo.
It speaks volumes. An estimated 1,000 riders strong. Orlando Strong. Zack would be so very proud.
